Encore, a leading publisher of education and game software for the PC market, wanted to get students studying with its Advantage 2008 education software. The solution? A gift-with-purchase promotion that provided students with a six-credit promo code good for ringtones, images and games.
The mobile content promotion, which kicked off in August and runs through December 2007, was incorporated into 140,000 Advantage 2008 software packages, which can be found at both online and brick-and-mortar retailers nationwide including Wal-Mart, Target, Comp USA, Office Depot, Costco.com and Amazon.com.
